New stuff

I won these nice glass leaves in the Easter contest organized by my favourite bead store Koralkovy Svet. I put together all kind of beads and combined them and this is what came out :) 

Swarovski earrings

I've come up with this new earring design and I can't stop making them ever since :)

They are made of 1 Swarovski 1028 8 mm cabochon, 15/0 Toho beads, 3 mm faceted beads. 

In the meantime...

While waiting for some bead caps I had ordered from Ebay, I tried to do some new things:

A bicone crystal donut bracelet:

A brooch using bead embroidery technique:

And bead embroidery again, with a Fimo cabochon in the centre:

I'm stuck

So this is how my bead flower looks like so far, but I'm facing (I guess) a typical beader's problem: lack of material. I realized I have no appropriate bead caps to put at the ends of my rope. So there's nothing to be done for now. It will have to wait as it is while I browse the Ebay for some caps...

I think I've figured it out...

That's right, I created this bead flower to adorn my white crocheted rope. I have no clear idea about the result, but I'll keep beading and... we'll see :)

Crocheted bead ropes

OK, I guess it's useless to hide the fact that I've become a total beaded ropes addict :D Ever since I learned how they are made, I cannot stop making them :) During these last few days in my spare time I crocheted these two 11/0 bead ropes. I will have to think what to make out of them... most probably some lariats ;) 

My prize!!! :)

I'm so happy these days! The great prize in that contest was a gift-packet worth 70 euros! :) And I got it! So I got these lovely Swarovski components and all kind of beads from the shop owners. Gee, it's such an honor for me. This has been the first time I took part in such a contest, and the first time I've won :)  

I simply love all these nice sparkling things. Now I just have to think how to use all this stuff :)

I'm serious :) There was this bead contest after Christmas, organized by a local bead shop. Well, it is actually  a great bead shop, in fact the only one in the area (maybe even in my small country) where you can find high-quality beads and Swarovski components. 

So for this contest you were supposed to send the photo of a bead object you made as a Christmas gift. I had made this lariat some time before. I gave it to my godmother, however I had taken a picture of it before so I decided to participate. 

The results came out at the end of January and to my greatest surprise, I won the 1st place! :)
